Fertility Foodie

A Naturopathic Doctor’s guide to all-things food related, to optimize your fertility potential. Food choices impact the way we feel, what we think, and how our body functions. Food is medicine. I wholeheartedly support this and want to guide you to making good food choices to better your chances of pregnancy. Clinical practice and current research point to utilizing a whole foods, plant-based approach, organics where possible, and being mindful of portions.

This guide is:

  • designed to maximize the nutrient intake that best supports fertility, while minimizing harmful substances and being mindful of caloric intake and a busy lifestyle
  • general info only and can be modified based on other health goals you may also have
  • supports the treatment plan we discuss during your Naturopathic Visit
  • an eating pattern that supports your best health and one that can be maintained over time, rather than a short-term "diet". supportive of a healthy weight, optimal mood, easy to digest, and fit into your lifestyle

  • You can do this! You’ll feel great, as often we see improvements in mood, energy, digestion, bowel movements, etc. Be kind to yourself as old habits can be hard to break, and remember that small changes can often make a big difference in our health.

    IV Therapy

Intravenous vitamin therapy is a great way to increase your nutrient levels fast. Vitamins and minerals found in foods and supplements are absorbed through the digestive system, and sometimes the need for nutrients exceeds what we can absorb. With IV therapy, nutrients enter the body directly through the blood and into the cells, and thereby not affected by digestion.

We will discuss your health history, food intake and goals, and formulate an IV therapy which may include the following: vitamin C, vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, minerals such as calcium, magnesium, selenium, manganese, zinc, amino acids, glutathione.

Victory Reproductive Care is a Certified IV therapy clinic run by Dr. Jennifer Strong ND, where we can compound IV bags in our onsite lab the day of your treatment, and customize them based on your nutritional needs.

IV therapy can vary from weekly to monthly, or just one or two treatments to start off your nutrition journey, and typically take about an hour to complete. Both partners may be eligible for IV therapy as nutrient intake is important for both egg and sperm production.

Please call VRC to book at (519) 944-6400. A consult, physical exam, and labwork will be required prior to your 1st IV so we can formulate the most appropriate IV for you. Consent for IVIT & Prep and Post Care for IVIT
